We knew this love story wasn’t over, just because he left office.

On Tuesday, former U.S. President Barack Obama was seen dining with Canadian Prime Minister and Vogue Model in Chief Justin Trudeau, at a Montreal eatery. The two have quite an apparent bromance, stemming from the days when Obama was in office.

The two were seen having a pensive and lively dinner date at Liverpool, in the trendy area of Griffintown (or for those who grew up in Montreal in the 90’s, “The Area Formerly Known as the Ghetto”).

And of course, the Canadian media couldn’t get enough. Neither could Twitter.

Now, what could these two have been chatting about?

According to ABC News, the two were having a discussion about developing the next generation of leaders. Earlier that day, Obama gave a speech at Palais de Congrès and spoke about the “temporary absence in leadership” in the U.S. right now.

But who cares about politics, leadership, and the Paris Accord when there are memes? I mean, c’mom people, Obama and Trudeau were out dining in Montreal!

Understandably, many Montrealers came out to get a piece of the action. Of course, this time of year, Montrealers aren’t too phased by celebrity appearances as Grand Prix starts in two days. So it’s a huge testament to Obama’s popularity in Montreal if people lined up for a mere glimpse of his Secret Service team.

Here’s what some had to say about the Obama-Trudeau date on Twitter:
