NEW DELHI -- Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah will be awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 12th edition of the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF).

The news was confirmed by the official Facebook page of the film festival in their post, "Honored to present the legendary actor Naseeruddin Shah with its prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.

Shah has appeared in over 200 films in a remarkable and diverse career spanning 40 years."

Naseeruddin is known for his roles in Masoom (1983), Sarfarosh (1999), Iqbal (2005), The Dirty Picture (2011) and Dedh Ishqiya (2014).

Also naseeruddin Shah's Waiting will be premiered at the film fest.

DIFF will take place in Dubai from 9 to 16 December.
