Les nominations pour les Emmy Awards 2014 ont été dévoilées le jeudi 10 juillet à Los Angeles. Dans la catégorie série dramatique, Breaking Bad, qui avait raflé le trophée le plus prestigieux lors de la précédente édition, se retrouve face à un candidat de choix: True Detective et son duo de flics formé par Matthew McConaughey et Woody Harrelson.

Comme le souligne Vodkaster, le choix de placer la série de Nic Pizzolatto dans cette catégorie plutôt que dans celle des «mini-séries» redistribue les cartes.

Parmi les favoris, on retrouve plusieurs noms familiers, Mad Men, House of Cards, Downton Abbey ou Game of Thrones qui parviennent à se placer dans plusieurs catégories. La cérémonie qui récompense le meilleur de la télévision américaine se déroulera le 25 août prochain au Nokia Theater de Los Angeles. Avant le verdict, voici les nominations:
