Alex Torpey is a New Jersey based digital media entrepreneur and is the mayor of South Orange, NJ. Elected in May of 2011 at the age of 23 by a 14-vote margin, Alex was sworn-in as the youngest mayor in New Jersey and is one of the youngest mayors in the United States currently. Alex also serves as South Orange's Emergency Management Director, is a volunteer EMT with the South Orange Rescue Squad and a graduate student at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
