Alison O’Neil

L’Oreal Paris Women of Worth, 2015

Alison O’Neil started the Beauty Becomes You Foundation to bolster self-worth and regard with dignity, the elderly; a population that is frequently over looked. Limited access to common everyday aesthetic health and beauty services for seniors is due to illness, opportunity, and lack of financial means as well as transportation. Basic hair, skin, and nail care as well as massage therapy are provided by 25 to 75 student and professional, health and beauty volunteers per program who through BBY are sensitivity trained to the special needs of seniors. More than 15,000 services have been provided to roughly 5000 men and women since its inception in 2006. Alison O’Neil was recognized as a L’Oreal Paris Women of Worth in 2015 for making an extraordinary difference in her community.
