Jennifer Sciubba

Associate Professor, Rhodes College

Jennifer Dabbs Sciubba is an Associate Professor in the International Studies department at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, and a Global Fellow with the Woodrow Wilson Center’s Environmental Change and Security Program in Washington, DC. Dr. Sciubba has studied at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Rostock, Germany, and is a former demographics consultant to the US Office of the Secretary of Defense (Policy). She is the author of The Future Faces of War: Population and National Security (2011) and her research has appeared in Asian Survey, International Interactions, International Area Studies Review, the Journal of Human Rights, and Orbis: A Journal of World Affairs, among others. Dr. Sciubba is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and Phi Beta Kappa. She is chair of the Political Demography and Geography Section of the International Studies Association. Dr. Sciubba received her Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Maryland and her B.A. from Agnes Scott College.
