Michael Hoevel is Managing Director of Marchmont Communications, an award-winning communications agency based in London, UK. Marchmont offers strategic support to clients shaping the course of global development - from sustainable agriculture, climate change and public health to finance and energy policy reform. We believe in the power of a conversation to change the world. His past roles include Deputy Director of Agriculture for Impact (under the leadership of Sir Gordon Conway at Imperial College London) and Director of London-based sustainable communications agency Glasshouse Partnership. His work has been recognised a dozen times at industry award ceremonies, including awards from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, European Excellence Awards, International Green Awards, Digital Communications Awards, Digital Impact Awards, PRCA Awards, SABRE Awards and CorpComms Awards. Michael has an M.Sc. in Sustainable Development from the London School of Economics and a B.A. in History from Yale University. He is also Chair of international development organization Self Help Africa UK.
