Sam Shrauger joined PayPal in April 2004 in the newly formed Merchant Services business unit where he was involved in defining and executing
product and marketing strategies for PayPal’s merchant products. He later led efforts to develop PayPal’s merchant reporting system and define the product set required to support PayPal’s channel distribution efforts. Following that, Sam led PayPal’s Checkout product team, and was responsible for efforts to drive acceptance and usage of PayPal Checkout across the web. Currently, Sam is Vice President of Global Product Strategy, where he is responsible for defining PayPal’s long-term global product portfolio strategy and ensuring that PayPal’s product architecture evolves to support this long-term strategy.

Prior to joining PayPal, Sam was a Client Partner with Agency.com overseeing the Visa USA and Visa International accounts. Before this, he held positions in product management and consulting with VerticalNet, Deloitte Consulting, and Quantum Consulting.

Sam received his MBA from the University of Virginia, and has a BA in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley.
