10 Destinations On The Rise, According To TripAdvisor (PHOTOS)

TripAdvisor isn't usually one to call out up-and-coming destinations, but that didn't stop the site when it named its 2012 "10 destinations on the rise" Tuesday.

The list includes destinations around the world that, according to TripAdvisor, has seen the greatest increase in positive traveler feedback and interest.

In a press release announcing the list, Barbara Messing, TripAdvisor CMO, said: “These rising hotspots around the world are increasingly gaining the attention and admiration of travelers on TripAdvisor...For those looking to be inspired for vacation planning for 2013, these destinations offer remarkable places to eat, stay and play.”

However, many of the spots on the list seem to have already, well, risen. Moscow and Sao Paolo make the international list, while domestically, the obvious selections of Austin, both Portlands, and Denver are included.
