Allison Janney's Next 'Big' TV Role

Allison Janney is stopping by "The Big C." The "West Wing" veteran will guest star in Season 3 of the Showtime series starring Laura Linney as a woman with cancer.

According to Showtime, Janney will play a Hollywood producer who wants to purchase Cathy (Linney) and Paul's (Oliver Platt) life rights to use in a film.

The third season of "The Big C" kicks of on Sun., April 8, 9:30 p.m. EST on Showtime. Other Season 3 guest stars include Susan Sarandon and Victor Garber. Janney recently booked a role in the NBC pilot "Friday Night Dinner."

"One Tree Hill" star Sophia Bush will star in a new CBS comedy.
The comedy follows two good friends -- Louis, a gay man and Charlie, a straight man. Bush will star as Charlie's girlfriend. [TVLine]

"Lost" actors Jeff Fahey and Kevin Tighe will guest star on USA Network's "Common Law." Fahey will play a booze-loving detective and Tighe will play a missing persons detective in the new buddy cop series. [EW]

Zach McGowan is getting a "Shameless" promotion. McGowan will be a series regular on the Showtime series for its third season set to begin production this summer. [THR]
