Ashley Delvalle Allegedly Impersonates Nurse, Molests Child

Fake Nurse Molested Child, Cops Say

A Philadelphia woman is accused of posing as a nurse and assaulting a patient at a children's hospital.

Ashley Delvalle, 24, allegedly walked into patients' rooms at St. Christopher's Hospital Tuesday, telling parents that she was a nurse assigned to perform examinations, CBS reported.

Police in Pennsylvania say Delvalle weighed one child, and inappropriately touched another child. In the second case, Delvalle allegedly told the boy's mother that she was checking him for bed bugs, according to WPVI.

Delvalle is neither an employee of St. Christopher's, nor a registered nurse.

Her neighbor, Esther Harley, told WPVI that she doesn't believe the allegations. "She's not that type of person," Harley said.

Delvalle's charges include simple assault, indecent assault and impersonating the holder of a professional license.
