Brooke Mueller Arrest: Charlie Sheen Weighs In

Charlie Sheen Talks Co-Parenting: 'The Kids Need Two Parents'

Charlie Sheen is defending his ex-wife Brooke Mueller after she was arrested in Aspen last week on charges of assault and cocaine possession with intent to distribute.

Sheen told TMZ that his ex would "never" deal drugs.

"With the child support I pay her, she's going to deal drugs? Never going to happen," he said. The actor reportedly pays Mueller $55,000 per month in child support.

Though the pair fought a highly publicized custody battle, Sheen insists that he has no plans to file for full custody of their two kids in light of the arrest.

"We're interested in co-parenting. The kids need two parents," he said. "Brooke's been through the same stuff I've been through and she's doing her best."

Sheen and Mueller split in 2010 after two years of marriage. He has twin sons with Mueller and two daughters with Denise Richards, whom he divorced in 2006.
