Michael Kors might not be the only big name in fashion to tie the knot this year: Calvin Klein creative director, Francisco Costa, said Monday that he wants to marry his boyfriend of 21 years, John DeStefano, now that same-sex marriage is legal in New York state.
"Yeah, I would. It would be fun. A huge ceremony," Costa said at the Americans for Marriage Equality gala at the Calvin Klein flagship store in New York. His partner DeStefano, a horse trainer, agreed but added, "We have to figure out who's going to propose to whom first."
The couple met at a furniture store in Manhattan in 1990; they've been together ever since. "He keeps me 100 percent together," Costa told Harper's Bazaar. "He can't take much bullshit."
Fellow designer Kors married his long-time boyfriend Lance LePere in Southampton in August, shortly after gay marriage was legalized in New York.
