Christian Slater is taking a stab at TV once again with a Kyle Killen pilot. According to TVLine, Slater will star in "Influence," Killen's latest TV drama project.
Slater will star opposite Steve Zahn in the drama about two brothers who head up an agency that uses the science of human motivation and manipulation to solve problems. Slater will play Ross, a schemer and ladies man who recently got out of prison.
This is Slater's fourth go-round at a network series in recent years. His previous credits include "Breaking In," "The Forgotten" and "My Own Worst Enemy."
Killen is the brain behind "Lone Star" and "Awake."
In other pilot news ...
Josh Lucas and Lynn Collins will star in A&E's "Occult." The pilot, produced by Michael Bay, follows an FBI agent (Lucas) who returns from leave after investigating his wife's disappearance. Collins plays his new partner who specializes in occult matters. [THR]
Minka Kelly will co-star in Fox's pilot from J.J. Abrams's Bad Robot. The comedy is set in the near future and follows cops and their humaniod partners. [Deadline]
Majandra Delfino has left an ABC pilot. Delfino's role on "Keep Calm and Karey On" will be recast. [TVLine]
