Colin Kaepernick Says He's Sorry For 'Insensitive' Instagram About Houston Floods

The quarterback made a bad call.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick probably wishes he could have called an audible on his ill-advised social media play Tuesday. But too late for that.

He apologized for an offensive Instagram post that appeared to make light of the floods in Houston.

Torrential rains this week have killed at least five in the area and 12 statewide, according to reports. But Kaepernick used a photo of submerged cars in the devastation to tout his #7tormsComing personal battle cry on Instagram. Kaepernick wears No. 7 on his jersey.

The player deleted the post shortly after sharing it, and eventually issued a backpedal and an apology.
