Police are hunting a man who is accused of trying to rape a 27-year-old woman in the East Village on Sunday.
The suspect is described at 5'9" and 170 pounds and was last seen forcing his way into the First Avenue East Village apartment where he attacked the young woman. (See video below).
Police say the man pushed the woman to the ground and attempted to rape her. She was able to fight him off and flee.
