A Florida woman received five years in prison Wednesday for stealing more than $470,000 while posing as a representative of a national veterans charity organization.
Blanca Contreras, 39, of Tampa, pleaded guilty in June to engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, aggravated theft, money laundering and tampering with records. Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge Kathleen Sutula imposed the sentence at a hearing Wednesday morning.
