Isabeli Fontana Plays Politician For Donna Karan Fall 2011 Campaign (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

Much has been said about the lack of fashion among politicians. But all those frumpy button-downs and bad kitten heels could be atoned for if only Isabeli Fontana ran the city government.

Donna Karan's ad campaign for Fall 2011 operates on that exact premise, with the Brazilian model appearing to act out the role of mayor (or a county judge? A state senator?) in a short black and white film.

Directed by Inez and Vinoodh, the 30-second movie shows Fontana striding glamorously into the New York County Courthouse in Manhattan, taking important phone calls, giving a press conference, posing on the steps in evening wear (on her way to a gala, perhaps?) and doing the "walk and talk" Aaron Sorkin-style.

It's certainly a much more respectable role for Fontana, who was recently thrust into the spotlight as the "other woman" in Lauryn Hill and Rohan Marley's couple drama.

Then again, it's not like our government hasn't seen a relationship scandal or seven.
