Kate Middleton is turning heads with her new, never-before-seen blond transformation.
The Princess of Wales officially showed off her new locks during an engagement at the Natural History Museum on Sept. 4, alongside Prince William.

It appeared the princess had lighter hair earlier in the summer, when she was spotted with blonder hair during a car ride on Aug. 24.

While Kate has undergone hair transformations before, this look is by far the biggest departure for the royal.
In the fall of 2020, the then-Duchess of Cambridge showed off honey-colored hair. The new hair was especially on display in a video announcement she made as patron of the National History Museum.
The royal has continued to ease back into public appearances this year, after previously sharing that she was in remission from cancer in January.
The Princess of Wales went public with her cancer diagnosis in March 2024, though she has never publicly disclosed what kind of cancer she has. She shared that she had completed chemotherapy a few months later in September 2024.
Kate opened up about the “really, really difficult” parts of recovery during a stop by England’s Colchester Hospital in July.
“You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment. Treatment’s done, then it’s like, ‘I can crack on, get back to normal,’ but actually, the phase afterwards is really, really difficult,” she said at the time.
