We've heard these home staging tips before. To entice a potential buyer you should eliminate personal photos and trinkets, scale back on large-scale furniture and add fresh flowers and candles to the space. But one of Hot Listings Miami's Katrina Campin's tips isn't one we ever associated with selling a home before: the pillow chop.

With a swift strike to the top, similar to a karate move, you can make a down pillow look fuller and "more expensive," according to Campin. This is a trick hotels have been using for decades to make their bedding look more luxurious. We're not sure if this is going to make a buyer offer over the asking price, but it definitely can't hurt. And if nothing else, it's a great way to let off some steam about the rising interest rates.
