Celebrities rocked the red carpet in Los Angeles last night at the ESSENCE "Black Women In Music" reception, sporting the flyest fashions for the star-studded event.
Just when we thought things couldn't get much better for Kelly Rowland, who scored a Grammy nomination for her single "Motivation" and seems to be head over heels in love with her new "good man," the ex-Destiny's Child star was honored that evening along with industry veteran Sylvia Rhone, for her outstanding achievements in music.
Ms. Rowland looked stunning in a citrus-colored, one-shouldered flowing gown and was reunited with her former group mate Michelle Williams. Tons of other fabulous stars attended the invitation-only affair, including Rowland's other former bandmate Latoya Luckett, who looked curvy in a cobalt blue cocktail dress, and rapper turned actress Eve, who stopped traffic in a floor-length lime green number.
There's no doubt the music was live, with rapper MC Lyte spinning on the ones and twos, and even R&B sensation Tamia made an appearance in a sexy black satin wrap dress. Singers Ne-Yo, Kenny Lattimore and funny man Wayne Brady also showed up and showed out, representing the ever-so-handsome men in the industry.
