Kylie Kelce has no time for anyone who doesn’t like the names she and Jason Kelce have picked out for their girls.
The podcaster and the former Eagles star share four children: Wyatt, 6; Elliotte, 4; Bennett, 2; and Finnley, who was born in March.
On the most recent episode of Kelce’s podcast, “Not Gonna Lie,” the high school field hockey coach answered a question about her daughters’ names.
“And this next question appears to be pure rage bait. ‘What’s with the boy names?’” Kelce said. “I’ll tell you what’s with the boys’ names. We ― my husband and I ― liked gender-neutral names for our daughters.”
“We picked the name Wyatt before we knew the gender of the baby,” she said of her eldest daughter.
Kelce then added that “Elliotte’s nickname is Ellie, so you can [podcast bleeps out a likely string of curse words].”
“The part that I take issue with, on people having an issue with our names, is that I actually didn’t ask. I didn’t ask what you thought about my kids’ names,” Kelce said. “My husband and I agreed on the names; we like them. You ― honestly ― you should try naming a human being. It’s not easy.”
Kelce said she’s also annoyed when people ask if Wyatt “is a family name,” as if they’re “trying to find a saving grace in the idea that my husband and I picked Wyatt for a little girl.”
“You know what the theme of this episode, besides ‘giving thanks,’ might be? Getting fucked, because they can get fucked,” Kelce said with a smile and a laugh. “How ’bout that?”
Kelce has opened up about struggling to name her kids before.
Back in April, she joked about giving her fourth daughter, Finnley “Finn” Kelce, “the most generic middle name you could possibly have.”
“I love that I’m just roasting myself,” she said as she laughed. “And there’s nothing we can do. The paperwork is filled out, and they’re on their way to the government. I don’t know what ... Fuck.”
