If you were thinking of buying a MacBook Air in the near future, you might want to get yourself to Best Buy this weekend: The big box store is holding a huge sale on electronics, which includes a deep price cut to Apple's thin laptop, with four Air models receiving price cuts of $200.
That means that a new MacBook Air with the most basic specs -- 4GB memory and 64GB storage -- costs $799, $50 less than a refurbished model on the Apple website. A new MacBook Air with those specifications costs $999 on Apple.com (and at Best Buy on most other days of the year).
Four models, as I said, received the $200 price cut. They are:
- MacBook Air 11.6'', with 4GB memory and 64GB storage ($799)
- MacBook Air 11.6'', with 4GB memory and 128GB storage ($899)
- MacBook Air 13.3'', with 4GB memory and 128GB storage ($999)
- MacBook Air 13.3'', with 4GB memory and 256GB storage ($1,299)
It's a good deal, folks, but it won't be around forever. The Best Buy sale on the MacBook Air lasts through Saturday only; on Sunday, prices will return to their normal, four-figure prices.
