Mama June: 'I'm Not A Perfect Parent, I Made A Mistake' (VIDEO)

Amid rumors that “Mama June” Shannon was allegedly dating convicted sex offender Mark McDaniel — who pleaded guilty to molesting her oldest daughter — Mama June admits, “There is some truth and there are some lies that are out there, and then there’s the truth in between that, so I just got tired of, I guess, a lot of the lies swirling around and a lot of our fans who still support us today, they want to hear my side. So I think I owe it to the fans to say, ‘OK, here’s my side of the story. Here’s what went on. I’m not a perfect parent. I made a mistake. And now, you know, it’s time to move on.’”

Shannon, who co-starred on the now-canceled TLC show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, says unequivocally that she is not in a relationship with McDaniel. “I’m not in a relationship with Mark McDaniel. I’m not in a relationship at all. I’ve seen him twice,” she says in the video above, explaining the first time she did not speak to him. The second time, she says, she arranged for her 14-year-old daughter "Pumpkin," who was raised by Mark as an infant and toddler, to speak with him . “It was a 10-minute conversation that she had with him, and she got her answers. That book is closed. I do not love him. I do not want to be with him.”
