It was about a year ago that I announced the launch of Coming Out -- a nonprofit, open-source library of coming out stories. With help from John Fong and Jess Duarte, we set out to build a diverse collection of coming out content where anyone can find a story they can relate to. Fast forward to today and take a look at what we've accomplished with little more than a passion for making the world a better place for the LGBTQ community and their loved ones.

Stories
We started with maybe 10 -- all personally solicited by me from amongst my closest friends. Today we have more than 70 stories on the site from around the world and the collection will continue to grow well beyond.

Audience
What started essentially as a blog known only to my social media network has now reached 20,000 users from across 140 countries with nearly 60,000 page views.

Team
We started with 3 of us in Toronto and are now more than a dozen professionals with experience at organizations like Google, Uber, the United Way, and Lambda Legal.

We've done this and more on less than $400. That's it.

We're ready to grow more and we need your help. Coming Out is now a 501c3 non-profit and raising money throughout the month of June to coincide with Pride celebrations around the world. Our new financial resources will allow us to invest in further web development, run paid marketing to expand our audience, and cover some minor administrative costs. Want to help? Here's how.
