The Most Jaw-Dropping Looks From The Oscars Red Carpet

The Oscars red carpet is a chance for celebrities to show off their most glamorous looks, and Sunday night’s showing was no exception.

Stars donned their finest tuxedos and most stunning gowns at the 97th Academy Awards, which were held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

While some celebrities stayed true to the show’s elegant roots, others experimented with playful patterns, intricate cutouts and whimsical accessories.

Following the red carpet, celebrities will head inside for the show, which will be hosted by comedian Conan O’Brien.

The former late night host joked with The New York Times on Thursday that he was only hosting because he needed the money, before revealing what he was wearing for Hollywood’s biggest night.

“I’m going to look amazing,” O’Brien quipped. “That’s what you can look forward to.”

“I’m in shape. I’m going to be wearing an incredible array of tuxedos,” he added. “I’ve had various surgeries to look my best. Unfortunately, I waited till kind of late, so I’m still healing. I hope they use a soft lens.”
