Khali haat aaye the? (Did we come to earth empty handed?)

No, no, no. We came with Karma, aka the consequences of our deeds from a past life. (Those who don't believe in reincarnation can stop reading here, lol).

Aur khali haat nahin jayenge. (Meaning, we won't leave empty-handed either).

Karma

  • That's why sworn BFFs (best friends forever) become strangers, sometimes.
  • That's why our good intentions towards others are misunderstood, many times.
    • That's why our love is questioned, by those whom we love the most.
  • That's why, every effort to fix a relation feels like "being hamster on a wheel".
Karma.
It's a bitch!! And then we die!!! And that's why we need to create good karma to take back with us, so that when we are born again we become
Donald Trump
.
Ouch, did I say "The Donald"? LOL.
I
meant
Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, and all those people we may look up to, and aspire to be. (Isn't that why we post sayings & quotes that inspire us?) Some of us will have done enough good and will have repaid all the karma from the past life, and won't be reborn. But for the rest of us, it's time to wake up and start adding to the positive karma column. AND, unlike math, adding to the positive column, does not subtract from the negative column. Meaning, there is
no "net," effect
lol.

More next time.

(Adapted from my spiritual advisor's teachings. And if you don't have a spiritual advisor, ask yourself why not?)
