Crop circles are not only hoaxes, but great art in their own right.

Crop Circle Exhibition & Centre

Every now and then, you see something that makes your jaw drop. While watching the chatter on MSNBC, I noticed a commercial for Pringle's® faux potato chips. I'm not a big fan of them by any means, but the ad agency which produced the 30 second spot inadvertently (or deliberately), bitchslapped the entire UFO/Alien conspiracy theorist community really hard....

The commercial is about a bunch of merry pranksters who make a crop circle. Now as most of you already know, UFO enthusiasts have been using crop circles as evidence of extraterrestrials, although the premise was long ago debunked.

Still, this kind of bullshit (not the commercial) has appeared as fact on the History Channel and other places as late as last night, and there hasn't been any pushback by the science community anywhere in the mainstream media at all. Thus it's so nice that the people pushing Pringles actually did something this cool.

Kudos.
