If you're a person in the United States and not in Los Angeles or Florida, chances are it snowed in your location in the past few weeks. For students at some schools, it made for a tough commute to class, whether they were driving or walking across the a snow-covered quad. Yet, for others, it would be kind of weird to go a month in winter without a few inches of snow.
AccuWeather.com compiled a ranking of the 10 snowiest colleges based on annual average snowfall, placing some upstate New York schools right alongside universities in Michigan and Alaska.
There is a caveat, though. Some schools located very near these campuses were not included, because as AccuWeather told Inside Higher Ed, they "could not include all the colleges in the surrounding areas without being repetitive in the same region," so "we choose those colleges that we believed the most people would know."
