Street Etiquette, Joshua Kissi and Travis Gumbs, Launch 'Black Ivy' T-Shirt Collection (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Street Etiquette Launches 'Black Ivy' T-Shirts

Joshua Kissi and Travis Gumbs, the dapper dudes behind the website Street Etiquette, have been busy inspiring men to breakout their wingtips, button up a cardigan and throw on a bowtie--thanks in part to their 2010 photo essay "The Black Ivy."

Now, Joshua and Travis have launched a t-shirt line based on the project.

The Black Ivy’s stunning images paid homage to the first black colleges and the preppy style of days gone by, but offered a fresh twist to today's swagger seeking gents. The now two-year-old project attracted so much attention that The New York Times called the duo "the most prominent public faces of a new burst of black dandyism taking root in small retail outlets, niche fashion lines and thoughtful style blogs."

With that said, it was only a matter of time before the SE team launched their own threads. Joshua and Travis’ new shirts are 100 percent cotton, made in the U.S.A. and come in two limited edition designs. At $35 a pop they make a pretty awesome and affordable holiday gift, too!

Like many successful bloggers, it's nice to see the SE guys expanding their brand beyond the website. This past summer Joshua and Travis also collaborated with Soludos to design a pair of the company's signature espadrilles.

Word on the street is, there's more to come. We'll keep you posted as new designs and collabos roll in. In the meantime, check out the new t-shirt collection and a few of our favorite images from "The Black Ivy" photo essay in the slideshow below.
