Timothy P. Knight, an experienced publishing executive with extensive digital experience, who has held leadership positions at Tribune Company, Newsday and most recently the Chicago Sun Times, has been named president of the Northeast Ohio Media Group (NEOMG), which operates cleveland.com, the Sun News and is responsible for all multimedia ad sales and marketing for The Plain Dealer.

Knight will succeed Andrea Hogben, who announced in August that she is leaving the company at the end of this year.

"I couldn't be happier to announce Tim as my successor. He's a brilliant executive and a wonderful person. He will bring so much to our business and to the community we all care so deeply about," said Hogben.

"I am honored to join NEOMG and work with their talented team of journalists and sales and marketing professionals," said Knight. "I look forward to building upon Andrea's success and growing our audience and expanding our business. The opportunities for growth here, especially in the digital arena, are tremendous."
