Talk about a complete 180.
Just days after blaming California for its devastating wildfires and threatening to cut federal funding, President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he had approved a major disaster declaration for California.
I just approved an expedited request for a Major Disaster Declaration for the State of California. Wanted to respond quickly in order to alleviate some of the incredible suffering going on. I am with you all the way. God Bless all of the victims and families affected.

While the president drew criticism for failing to acknowledge those killed in the deadly blazes in an earlier tweet, some thought it was βa little late for these scripted condolencesβ:
It's a little late for these scripted condolences. I lost my home & everything in it, as did many people I know, and I can tell you many of us were deeply offended by your ill-informed and insensitive comments and threats to withhold federal assistance.https://t.co/1qbcOL1iZB

Yeah, we felt the love when you were blaming local authorities for the fires. Every single word of that statement was a lie. Stop commenting on things that you know NOTHING about!!!

Twitter users also blasted Trumpβs latest declaration, branding the president a βhypocriteβ who waited until 44 people were dead before approving a request from Gov. Jerry Brown (D) to declare a major disaster:
friggin' clown makes it sound like he's footing the bill. p.s you're not recognized as "president' here...never were.

IKR? He talks crap for 3 days then swoops in to play the savior. I'm running out of adjectives to describe him.

Hypocritical ass who blames victims has been informed it was a bad look.

You SOB. You wait until 44 people are dead (and climbing), thousands of acres & houses destroyed, untold animals lost or injured, people missing, firefighters exhausted & low on supplies & assistance to say youβre expediting help? Too little too late.
— A.J. Johnson (@cablonde345) November 13, 2018
California will never forgive you. We are well aware that this was written by someone else and we are well aware that you hate us enough to let us die. I think you have made yet another fatal mistake in your presidency. I can not wait until you are removed from office.

Respond quickly?Expedited? You spent days condemning California forest practices, denying federal assistance, disrespecting fire fighters, loss of life, home, all because they don't vote your https://t.co/teLvZ285T3 you have empathy? Doubtful.Horrific backlash at you requires it.
