low-fat

A couple of months back, I spotted the beautiful Bethany Ugarte's Instagram post (guys, you HAVE to follow Bethany @lilsipper as her recipes are just AMAZING!) for her delicious cookie dough.
The delicious flavors of a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich in this huge, main course salad. To make it heartier, I've included lean turkey in addition to the bacon, tomatoes and lettuce. It's topped with my skinny ranch dressing and toasted, homemade bread crumbs. Pure yumminess!
The low-fat craze has ebbed somewhat in recent years as other nutrients -- primarily carbohydrates and, in particular, sugars -- have become the new villains of the diet scene. But many foods are still marketed with the claim that they are "fat free" or "low fat."
If you're already a dairy consumer, these and other studies suggest you don't stress over eating the high-fat versions. Eat what you like best, probably the good stuff -- as close to the natural version as you can get. And of course, as with all things, eat in moderation.
Have you ever tried this amazing chicken dish? It's one of the most beloved dinners on Outback's menu. With bacon, melted cheese and a dreamy mustard sauce, this chicken dish is out of this world. My skinny remake has all the same great flavors and tastes really, really good!
Olive Garden's soup is dreamy good and made with a little cream, sausages, potatoes, spinach and topped with bacon. My recipe has all the sensational flavors but I've cut down on the fat by using a 70% less fat turkey sausage, reduced-fat milk and just a little bacon.
Forget all the tortilla rolling, I've got a skinny twist that's easy to assemble and really, really good. This casserole has many of the same ingredients of a classic enchilada and some updated skinny ones.
I call it gourmet because there's a lemon and wine sauce drizzled over the chicken before serving. To keep it skinny, it's fried in a very small amount of reduced-fat butter and olive oil.
