Plus de 32 millions de téléspectateurs ont regardé le discours de Donald Trump

LOS ANGELES - Quelque 32,2 millions de téléspectateurs ont regardé le discours de Donald Trump livré à la convention du Parti républicain, jeudi soir, selon les estimations de la firme Nielsen.

Les cotes d'écoute de jeudi soir dépassent celles du candidat Mitt Romney, en 2012, qui avait réuni 30,3 millions de personnes devant leur téléviseur, mais elles se révèlent plus faibles que celles de 2008, lorsque John McCain avait attiré près de 39 millions de téléspectateurs.

Le bilan de cette année collige les données des dix principaux réseaux de télévision. C'est le réseau Fox News qui détient les plus hautes cotes d'écoute, avec 9,4 millions de téléspectateurs.

Pendant la dernière heure de la convention de quatre jours, CNN a enregistré des cotes d'écoute de 5,5 millions de téléspectateurs, suivi par NBC, qui a attiré 4,6 millions de personnes.

La convention du Parti démocrate s'ouvrira la semaine prochaine à Philadelphie.
