Alexander Görlach is a visiting scholar at Harvard University and a senior advisor to the Berggruen Institute. He is best known as the founder of the magazine The European, which he directed as publisher and editor-in-chief from 2009 to 2016. He is also a columnist for the German business magazine Wirtschaftswoche and an op-ed contributor to the New York Times.
