Jeramy Hope

Senior Manager in the Disability Sector

We are a family of 6, in the year 2000 our world changed forever, children.

Here are jottings, thoughts and life lessons mostly about child no. 3.

Although all 4 children are loved equality and are fantastically unique in their own right, my third born was born with autism and this has been an interesting, yet wonderful journey for us all.

I thought I would share some of her uniqueness in the form of a blog.

My intention as a dad and as a senior manager in the disability sector is to raise community awareness, this faceless disability is not a child being naughty or rude, and it is a child who we at times don’t understand and can't understand their form of communication.

Personally I want to help my daughter establish herself as unique, a value add. To be seen for her greatness not her perceived rudeness. I also want to assist the greater autism community and families by raising community awareness. Helping it to see the benefits of having someone with autism near.

An autistic mind can teach you to see the world differently, help you laugh more each day and give you countless opportunities to share all in their greatness. You will learn so much when you open your heart to someone with Autism.
