Ralph D'Andrea

Founder of the Junction Daily Blog

Ralph D'Andrea is the founder and principal author of the Junction Daily Blog, which went online in November, 2005. Actually, he's the only author, but "Principal Author" makes the Daily Blog sound more important.

Mr. D'Andrea has lived in Western Colorado for more than 30 years, most of that time on Orchard Mesa. He recently served as Chief Geologist and Exploration Manager for a small uranium company with land holdings in Arizona and Utah. Between 1994 and 2007, he was a self-employed computer programmer specializing in database applications. He also consults now and then for political campaigns, specializing in demographics, targeting, and mapping. He has worked for Democratic, Republican, and independent candidates, as well as for non-partisan ballot-issue campaigns.

Prior to becoming self-employed, he spent approximately 19 years working for various contractors at the Department of Energy's office in Grand Junction. His duties included being a staff geologist, manager of a computer mapping department, a project manager, a strategic planner, and information security manager.

Mr. D'Andrea has a BA in Geology from Rutgers University and an MS in Geochemistry and Mineralogy from Penn State University.
