Advertising Reporter

Willow Duttge is a New York City transplant originally from the Chicago area. She loves people watching and writing, so please beg her pardon if you catch her staring at you or if you recognize yourself in her work. In the early fall of 2009, she created Chronicles of New York, a blog of short stories and art inspired directly from the everyday sights, sounds, smells, tastes and emotions of the city.

For her day job, she writes non-fiction. She received her master’s degree in journalism from Medill at Northwestern University in 2005. After an internship at the Associated Press in Hong Kong, she moved to New York and found a niche for herself covering the advertising industry. She started writing for Advertising Age in 2006 and joined the launch team of Condé Nast Portfolio later that year. Currently she pays the bills working on a business book with an advertising agency strategy consultant and doing freelance journalism.
