I often write a letter to those I love. But I realized I've haven't written to you to say my thank you.

There's been many obstacles we have overcome together and you've been patient and strong even at times I've neglected you.

I've verbally abused you. I've physically abused you. I've starved you. I've poisoned you. And throughout it all, you just held on as much as you can and supported me. It wasn't until you said, "no more", and slipped away that I realized how important you are to me.

It was because I had you that I was able to achieve my goals. It was because I had you that I was able to continue. It was because I had you that I lived.

I have you to thank for all of the experience in my life. Even when you slipped away, you have taught me so many lessons and even showed me how much I was loved and how much I love those around me and how much I needed you. The process of getting you back was one of the most challenging, but the most rewarding experience I've ever had to go through.

Thank you for giving me a second chance. Thank you for showing me the value you bring to my life. Thank you for letting me see that I have nothing without you. Thank you for continuing to fight with me; fight for me.

Thank you for being part of my happiness. I am grateful eternally for having you and losing you and having you again.

Now, part of my mission is to share with everyone that success includes you and valuing you will bring me even more success and the best possible version of me.

Thank you eternally.

Sincerely,

Christine Hoh
