Beagle Found In Detroit Trash Bag, Michigan Humane Society Offering Reward For Information (VIDEO)

Abused Beagle Found In Trash Bag

A 2-year-old female Beagle was found in a trash bag on the east side of Detroit.

The Michigan Humane Society is offering a $2,500 award for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the dog's abuser, according to a press release from the MHS.

WARNING: some details below are graphic.

"It is unknown how long the dog had been in the trash bag, but the bag was soaked with the dog’s urine, indicating that it may have been days," the release said. "The Beagle may have suffered some form of trauma, as she was in severe pain when picked up by MHS.

The dog was given painkillers and is being treated at the MHS Detroit Center for Animal Care. MHS veterinarians were "guarded about the dog’s current prognosis," according to the release, but she's responded well to treatment.

Anyone with any information on the dog's abuser should call (313) 872-3401.
