Brian Dunkleman Returns To The 'American Idol' Stage For The Series Finale

Welcome back, Brian. And, uh, farewell?

Seacrest out, Dunkleman in.

That's right, Brian Dunkleman, who co-hosted Season 1 of "American Idol" with Ryan Seacrest, finally returned to the "Idol" stage for the series finale on Thursday. He joined Seacrest for the opening bit, poking fun at the longtime and beloved host.

Dunkleman pointed out that Seacrest is now out of a job before saying that no one quite knows life without "Idol" like he does.

"I want to congratulate the show on struggling along another 14 seasons without me," Dunkleman told Seacrest and the audience. He then put the jokes aside and informed Seacrest that he did a fantastic job hosting the reality singing competition show all these years.

Dunkleman ended his short segment by introducing the judges, Keith Urban, Harry Connick Jr. and Jennifer Lopez.

Welcome back and, uh, farewell, Dunkleman.
