David Archuleta 'Wait': Singer Releases New Video And Announces Mormon Mission

WATCH: David Archuleta's New Music Video!

David Archuleta, 21-year-old singer and former American Idol runner-up, just released the "Asian Tour Edition" of his most recent album, The Other Side of Down. The below video is for "Wait," a darker, more adult departure from David's previous singles, exploring the pain of losing a friend. It was filmed while when he was in Hong Kong on his Asian tour. We've also included a few of his older videos if you click through the slides.

Last week, David announced that he will be taking a break from his singing career to embark on a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He explained the decision to his fans: “It’s not because someone told me that I’m supposed to do it, and not because I no longer want to do music, but because it’s the feeling that I’ve felt I need to do this with my life."
