All across the world, Facebook users are eagerly posting snapshots of their pooches after a woman from Arizona put out a call for dog photos to cheer up Anthony Lyons -- the ill, 16-year-old son of her friend.

Anthony is undergoing chemotherapy for acute lymphoblastic leukemia at Phoenix Childrens Hospital.

"Some days he gets doggy visits and some he does not," writes Roberta Lucero-Koron, who started the pooch photo posting event on Facebook. "They make him smile. I thought if I create this event, you can post a picture of your dog to help make him smile. His mom [Kristen Lyons] shows them to him and he smiles."
