In an effort to reward students for fundraising efforts, administrators at Jay Elementary School gave out more than 100 "slap bracelets" to their students.
What they didn't realize, however, was that beneath the cloth covering were pictures of naked and scantily-clad women, Reuters reported.
Once the word spread, angered parents began calling the school. From the Miami New Times:
Students were tearing the covers off their slap bracelets faster than they could sprint out of third period algebra.
Santa Rosa County School District spokesman Bill Emerson told Reuters that, while the parental outrage has turned to understanding, so far school officials have only been able to collect a "handful" of the X-rated accessories.

"It was one of those calls you get from parents where you say, 'Really?'" Emerson told Reuters. "Then it turns out to be true."
The school district received the bracelets through a Nashville-based company, Reading for Education, LLC, who purchased them from China.
Santa Rosa's Press Gazette printed an official apology from the company.
"I am writing to formally apologize for the situation you have encountered with one of the prizes we provided. I can assure you that we are just as shocked and frustrated as you to discover inappropriate printing on the interior metal of the “Slap Bracelet”.
We have notified the U.S. supplier about the problem who has, in turn, contacted the manufacturer in China. We are returning all "slap bracelet" inventory to our supplier, and discontinuing their use.
We thank you for bringing this problem to our attention and we ask that you extend our sincere apology to any parent this issue has affected."
Principal Danny Carnley told the Press Gazette that the incident will not affect the school's relationship with the company, but that they will refrain from ordering slap bracelets in the future.
