Jay-Z went hard for Brooklyn over the last week, playing eight sold-out shows at the newly opened Barclays Center. If you weren't lucky enough to attend of those performances, however, Hova has some good news: The rapper-mogul is ready to release an EP of selected songs from the Brooklyn shows for mass consumption.

As first reported by RapRadar.com, the eight-song album will be available on Tuesday, Oct. 9. Called Live In Brooklyn, the mini-album (or "optic EP") will include eight songs and videos. Fans will be able to download the EP via iTunes.

The Barclays shows provided Jay-Z fans with fodder to last quite a long while. On Saturday night, Jay-Z rode the subway to the Brooklyn arena, the first time he had used mass transit in 18 years. As you can see in the video below, Jay's subway experience was totally normal and not weird.

Later on Saturday, Jay-Z and Beyonce performed together at the Barclays Center.
