Jimmy Kimmel Live” aired a rerun on Thursday night after a last-minute postponement.

No explanation has been given, and the show’s social media accounts haven’t been updated.

However, LateNighter reports the postponement was due to a “personal matter” and that the show is set to return with new episodes next week.

Viewers tuning in for Thursday night’s show expecting appearances by “Stranger Things” star Joe Keery, actor David Duchovny, and musical guest Madison Beer saw an episode from last month instead.

Beer wrote on Instagram that her segment had been postponed “due to unforeseen circumstances” and that it would air “at a later date.”

Kimmel’s show was suspended in September over comments he made about the suspect in the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. The show returned less than a week later amid intense public pressure, which included many canceling their subscriptions to Hulu and Disney+.

Antenna, a firm that tracks subscription data, said those cancellations doubled at the time from the prior month.

As of Thursday evening, 1iota Productions ― which handles tickets for “Jimmy Kimmel Live” ― lists new episodes scheduled for next week, with George Clooney and Mike Tyson set to appear on Monday night’s show.
