Liberace Museum Closing October 17th After 31 Years (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Liberace Museum Closing After 31 Years

It's the end of an era: The museum that Liberace himself opened in 1979, is closing after 31 years on October 17th.

Attendance was down to 62,700 last year, according to the Miami Herald; down from a record 450,000 in its heyday.

Known as much for his outlandish outfits as for his piano-playing abilities (hello, Lady Gaga!), Liberace was a Vegas icon for decades.
