Hard to believe it's that time of year again, but the Coachella Festival is upon us already. This year's iconic music and arts festival will once again take place over 2 weekends, from April 10-12 and April 17-19. The jam-packed lineup has an exciting range of over 100 acts from a myriad of genres, featuring some old favorites reuniting, huge current global acts, and a ton of buzzworthy newcomers. We combed through the whole roster and handpicked 3 emerging artists that we think are essential to catch at Coachella 2015.

WHO: Father John Misty
WHEN: Saturday April 11th + 18th at 8:00pm
WHERE: Outdoor Theatre
WHY: As an ex-member of the prominent indie-folk group Fleet Foxes, J. Tillman is no stranger to the scene. But Tillman's newest solo venture, under the moniker Father John Misty, has a much edgier take on the genre. With hints of psychedelia and sunny 70's rock, Misty's most recent release, I Love You, Honeybear, is emotional and complex on a level not previously heard from Tillman or his associated acts. Misty has been making the rounds since the February release of his critically acclaimed album -- with noteable appearances on several late night shows. Don't miss his sure to be talked about set at Coachella this year.

WHO: Run the Jewels
WHEN: Saturday April 11th + 18th at 6:55pm
WHERE: Mojave Tent
WHY: Gritty hip-hop duo Run the Jewels made waves last year with what Rolling Stone deemed the "Best Rap Album of 2014," Run the Jewels 2. RTJ consists of established rappers Killer Mike and El-P, who lay down old-school rhymes with a political edge, often diving into controversial current affairs ripped off the headlines. The duo's onstage chemistry is electric -- and their always-sold-out shows are known to be legendary for the incredible energy of both artist and audience. As an added bonus, their Coachella set this year will feature Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker... so don't miss it!

WHO: Odesza
WHEN: Sunday April 12th + 19th at 9:35pm
WHERE: Gobi Tent
WHY: After establishing a steady presence on the underground electronic scene over the past few years, Odesza has risen quickly in the past 6 months with a string of catchy, crisp remixes and single releases. Their airy, pop sensibility provides a unique take on electronic music that is instantly infectious -- one listen to a track like "Memories That You Call," and listeners are hooked. And unlike a lot of EDM acts that rely primarily on flashy lights and visual gimmicks to excite their audiences, Odesza take their shows to the next level by combining these effects with live drum instrumentation. The result is a high energy show that engages the audiences from the first beat, and makes Odesza one of the top emerging acts to catch at the Coachella Festival this year.
