"Long Island Medium" star Theresa Caputo stopped by HuffPost Live to talk about the hit TLC series that showcases her psychic abilities. During the discussion, she shared how she told her husband Larry about her gift.

Caputo said that revealing her abilities to her husband, who also appears on the show, was easy. "You have to realize, my anxieties were so bad. So I was already with Larry for 10 years. And he had saw that I was, I wasn't doing anything. I didn't want to leave the house. I would cry all the time," she explained to host Caitlyn Becker.

"So when I told him, you know, I can speak to dead people, he saw that I was physically and emotionally getting better. So he's like, 'you know what hon, if you think talking to dead people makes you feel better, you keep going right ahead, because it's making my life a hell of a lot easier.'"

After her initial revelation, her husband began to accompany Caputo on client meetings. "He started coming with me to like my groups and things like that. He started saying to himself, 'hon, how did you know that? You don't know anything about that.' And that's when he was like, there's something really here."

The medium added that she didn't always believe in her gift. "I was a skeptic, like a lot of people are, until you witness it."
