It's no secret that Maggie Smith brings joy to millions of viewers as the Dowager Countess on "Downton Abbey," but she also delights the cast.
In the video below, Jim Carter, better known as Mr. Carson, sings the Emmy, Oscar and Tony winner's praises.
"Maggie Smith is the queen of the double-take," Carter said.
Carter said the scene in which the Dowager Countess visits Matthew and sits in a swivel chair caused him to howl with laughter and rewind several times. "She's funny to her finger tips, that woman," he said.
While Carter enjoys watching Smith as the Dowager Countess on "Downton Abbey," the actress admitted to never seeing an episode of the crossover hit show. When asked if she's proud of her Emmy-winning work as the Dowager Countess, Smith paused during her "60 Minutes" interview. "Well, yes, of course I am," she said. "I was just pausing because I haven't actually seen it. I don't sit down and watch it ... I've never watched it."
